27"+ 1440p 120Hz+ HDR G-Sync/FreeSync

Does a good monitor with all of the above exist?

I am looking at the LG 27GL850, which claims to be HDR10, but Linus said in his review that the HDR is lacking/non-existent.

Anyone in the same position and decided what to go for?

Hey I'm in same boat.
I kind of ruled out 27GL850 because it seems to be worse than newer 27GL83a while being more expensive. 850 has lower contrast, lower DCI P3 (for HDR) 78 vs 82% and slightly less HDR brightness, according to rtings
FI27Q better contrast, higher P3 (86%) but BFI doesnt have good timing and its ~600eur
ASUS TUF VG27AQ l'm looking into this one, decent contrast, BFI works with freesync, but has low P3 (only 70%) and lower brightness, ~460eur
Acer XV272UP ok contrast, good P3 (92% with Vesa DisplayHDR400 cert) but min brightness at 81cdm may be too high for night and they mention it also hurts HDR a bit but its <400eur

I have limited budget and dont want to spend more than 500eur

Btw I have also HP x27i 2K gaming on the list, only because i can get it with nice discount (normally its ~300), but there is not a single review of it, and sadly its probably not HDR just srgb gamut

So looking forward for some good suggestions also.

Sadly Your not gonna find anything at this price point that can handle HDR.... IMO it seems the best overall monitor is the 27gn850 with is the same as the GL850 just 50$ cheaper due to no USB 3.0 hub(useless on the back). The key is the consistent performance and response time from 144HZ all the way to 60HZ in VRR with freesync or G-SYNC modes. Other monitors in this range seem to have compromises in this area. IMO don't always trust rtings...

That being said HDR in this size will not be a reality for a long time. Plus HDR on Windows 10 is hit and miss. I would really not consider anything under 700nits and really 1000nits for HDR content to matter anyways

1440p there is nothing with enough nits to do decent HDR. Only option is going to 4K and getting the X27 or Asus which are the only two monitors (same panel) that will give you 1000 nits / HDR10 along with gsync and 144hz support. There is no panel that exists at 1440 that will give you that.

I was generally in the same position as you because I felt, and still feel, that 4K is not needed at 27'' (1440p is enough) but ultimately at this point no one is going to make a 1440p HDR1000 144hz panel. Your only choice is going to 4k, or giving up on the HDR / 1000 nits support.
