Hey folks, I'd love to replace my monitor with an IPS panel. Really want the image quality / color gamut / contrast rato of IPS for games. I'd also like gsync, and a fast refresh rate.

Anything out there in the 24" size range? i'm sure not seeing much at all.
I'm OK with 1920x1080, wouldnt mind more pixels though.

I think those options only come in 27" 1440p right now. I could be wrong. There's an Acer XB270HU and Asus PG279Q. There might be more now but I haven't checked in a few months.

Most people buy oversided, over-wide crap, so monitor companies make masive ultra wide monitors instead of monitors in a proper size and aspect ratio.

If a VA panel is Ok, there is the fg2421, which has strobing but no GSINK. You could also consider a CRT.

Currently no Monitors match your description exactly. There are 24" 1080p G-Sync fast refresh, but those are all 6bit+FRC TN panels, not true 8bit which all of the high end gaming TN panels use.

FG2421 is EoL'ed, and has its own QC problems, despite it being one of the few, if not only, high refresh VA panels at 1080p.

All of the IPS fast refresh monitors are either 1440p (which, off the top of my head, there is at least 5, 3 G-Sync and 2 FreeSync), or ultra-wides (3440x1440 100hz or 2560x1080).

There may be a few FreeSync monitors I have missed, but G-Sync ones you are much more limited.

Good CRT's are now either nearly, if not over a decade old, and are very expensive. As much as FW900 is the pinnacle of gaming monitors in general, dropping $1000 on something that is over a decade old and of completely unknown (at very least unconfirmable) usage history, it's not something I would ever consider. I don't buy old, especially not the kind of old that has been through other people's hands.

I would have considered FW900 if there is any unopened, unused left in the world, but the price I would consider to be prohibitive, and still does not get over the fact that it's old.

AUO made only 27" panel with 144Hz
there are no 24" 100Hz+ panels

you have to buy 27" model
