24" display advice - $300 budget

I need some help picking a new monitor. I currently have a dual monitor setup with (2) Asus VS247H-P monitors. They are not bad, but they are 60Hz and the color, viewing angles and just overall look seem rather average.

I'm considering upgrading one of them to something with better picture quality and response time.

I've been looking at Asus VG248QE. It's about double the price of the 247H-P and has 144Hz.

My big question is, will it have better picture quality, color etc? Or is it basically the same display as my current monitor but with 144Hz?

Also, feel free to suggest any other monitors that might align with my criteria. Price range is around $300-350.

The 248QE when set to ULMB is complete rubbish

Both are TN though, spend more and go IPS for good image quality. Though, the benq looked decent except for the vertical color temp shift, after calibration.

I have two of these Dell 1440P 24" get these they look like they are 4K they looks so good. That ASUS is garbage I just read on here the new panels have a yellow tint on some. I would say go 27" but I hate 27" myself I have a ROG Swift and can't use it anymore due to how large it is.

I find it odd that this monitor doesn't get mentioned much. It seems to have a lot of good things going for it besides being 1080p. I think I might get one to hold me over until I feel like shelling out the big bucks for a larger display and the gpu(s) to drive it.
