Monsanto is no doubt an evil giant. I have no love for them. They corrupt the government with their money, and abuse the hell out of the legal and copyright systems. Even so, I still feel that there are worse companies out there, like the ones I named. Monsanto just gets extra unnecessary hate from the ignorant hippie crowd, who don't even realize that they themselves are being manipulated by companies marketing overpriced "green, organic, natural, eco-friendly, etc." crap to assuage peoples' first-world guilt. And yes, it is very much about the "science makes food evil" mindset and people propagating nonsense about poisonous food cooked up by mad scientists.
