So I'm waiting until black friday to pick up an HDTV. For the time being, I would like to use my Dell 2001FP for my console gaming (xbox360). When I set the monitor to 1:1, it becomes a very small square in the middle of my screen. The only way to make this bigger is to use full aspect, but that severely ruins the quality. I know this monitor is pretty old, but is there a possibility I can make this small box bigger?

Um, it is 1:1 so set the xbox360 to output something something close to 1600x1200 (you're using VGA cable right?). The highest resolution that satisfy the lower bound of your LCD monitor resolution is 1360 x 768.

Ahh ok. I'm using the composite input. Looks like I need to pick up a VGA cable.
