Could someone measure their 20.1" Widescreen LCD monitor and give me a length and width measurement of the actual screen size? (don't include the frame/bezel please) I'm trying to figure out how much smaller they are in height than my 19" 4:3 LCD monitor.

Much appreciated!

Why not check out my thread "LCD Screen Size Comparison"?

Also, if your 19" is 1280x1024 it's 5:4 not 4:3.

pythagorean theorem is your friend :)

sqrt(16*16 + 10*10) ~= 18.87

20.1/18.87 = x/16 = y/10

x = 17.04

y = 10.65

lol, ok, thanks guys :p

yeah, duh, you're right 1280x1024 is not 4:3... that would be 1280x960.

but anyway, I just wanted to know the height of the 20.1", which you guys said is 10.65. My 19" is almost 12" high, so I'm going to be losing a bit if I go 20.1" widescreen. I think it'll be worth it to get the extra width though.

I'd go with a 24" ws, but I like running LCDs in native resolutions and 1920x1200 is a bit much to get decent framerates in WoW (I consider 40-60fps decent, but prefer it to stay around 50-60fps otherwise it starts annoying me) without buying another 7900gt. That's about the only game I play besides Civ4 and recently HOMM5.

Thanks for the help.
