2 years since the 1070 and 1080 were released...

    Yes! You won't notice tearing and makes things super smooth especially when you get sudden FPS drops. Initially got it for GTAV and immediately noticed a huge difference.

    Freesync does the same for AMD.

    680->980->1080 has been an acceptable upgrade path so far. We'll see if they can keep up the 50%+ with the 1180/2080.

    I can't believe it has been 2 years. I am quite glad I bought my MSI Gaming 1070 on release, as prices have been a rollercoaster.

    Meanwhile, I feel awful helping people build a gaming PC now.

    I wonder if we will see first implementation of Ray Tracing here? Would be smart on Nvidia's end to pump up the price if the rendering is noticeably better.
