I have a computer I want to use for htpc but have a old tv. Can I use a ati 5870 for my main video card with monitor and use a ati X300 in another slot for S-video hook up?
I will be running windows 7 64 bit.

eh... I don't really know. The x300 requires you use the legacy drivers. So, you may need to install two driver packages.

I will just have to try it. Would still like to hear opinions.

I just need it to play netflix and recorded tv from tuner. Will leave the tv off if I am gaming.

If that doesn't work there are active adapters that go from VGA to S-video. If you have an open DVI-I connector on your 5870 (so you can use a DVI->VGA adapter) that's a good option for around $20.

Thanks for reply, I didn't know I could do that. Thought it was more expensive .
