1T or 2T with this memory ?

Hi folks.

I'm currently using G.SKILL DDR3 16GB PC3-17000 CL9 ARES AB memory. (4GBx4) (Blue)

Currently, it's running at 2133MHz (1.65V) with CL9-11-10-28 2T with 3770K @4.5 + AsRock Fatality Z77 Professional motherboard.

I'm not sure if this memory is rated to run at 1T ? (Also, is there a big difference between 1T and 2T ?)

If you're able to run at that speed and timings in 1T, you should. It makes a fairly significant impact to overall bandwidth. 1T being faster than 2T.

If you can run it, go ahead. If not, then you likely won't see any real world performance difference.

Well... is the G.SKILL memory rated to run at 1T ?

It's rated to run at 2T.

It will most likely run at 1T just fine. The Patriot sticks I currently have auto to 3T, yet they run just fine at 1T

Generally my guideline is, 1 stick per channel = 1T, 2 sticks per channel = 2T.
