Trevor Heitmann, otherwise known as popular YouTuber “McSkillet,” died Thursday after crashing his 2015 British McLaren 650S into an SUV, killing not only himself but a 12-year-old girl and her mother. Heitmann, who made his fortune on custom Counter-Strike: Global Offensive skins, was speeding the wrong way down state Route 805.

He posted a video in December of the black McLaren 650S he had bought some months earlier. Without appearing on camera himself, he shows close-ups of the car interior, back end and full view with open wing-like doors. He describes the car as “pretty damn insane” and said he could afford it because he had “made a ton” of money online, with nearly 900,000 subscribers.

Does that make this a Murder Sucuide?

judging from the article this is possible but I guess there also isn't definitive proof that he was out to kill himself. Feel bad for the other family regardless.

Stupid fuck couldn't handle life's hardships and acted like an idiot taking out 2 others not involved in his life.
When will people realize if you can't handle life, either seek help, or kill yourself without taking others with you!?

I don't believe this is a suicide at all. Fuck that asshole.

It's heart breaking looking at the Mother and daughter.

It's Valves fault for allowing skin trades and gambling in the first place. They created this monster and share partial blame. The whole skin gambling bullshit is illegal and needs to be shutdown.
Valve isn't allowing gambling, that's the whole point of this. They shut down this little shit because he was monetizing CSGO skins by running a gambling operation - website, YouTube channel etc.

While I don't know anything about Valve's business, blaming them for this loser's actions is bullshit, people need to take responsibility for their own life.

What else reason to drive on the wrong side of the road going 100!?

It's this motherfuckers fault. Not Valve's.

So what do you think it was?
I doubt he accelerated to 1.5x above the posted speed limit and went the wrong way on an off-ramp by accident.

Why do you believe the only reasons someone is on the wrong side of the road is suicide? That is the better question. People have driven on the wrong side of the road many of times before. Google it. They were not all suicides and as you look through them you can see there are many reasons; some good, some nonsense, some are asshole aggressive drivers too busy being assholes to other drivers then to see a big sign in front of them. Another question, have you seen a "Do Not Enter, Wrong Signs" before? (They have these in the US, not sure they have them in other parts of the world but I figure they should.) There is a reason, people have gone down the wrong side not knowing until it was too late.

This guy is not the first asshole to pull a 100+ MPH going the wrong way and kill someone else. Sadly, this asshole won't be the last.

I don't follow anyone anywhere (except perhaps on sites like [H]), nor do I play online games, so I didn't know the guy, nor anything about his pursuits. Sounds like a dirt-bag to me.

I do have to wonder sometimes though about potential changes to the suicide rates if the Internet was to die. :::: sigh ::::

It's a nice day outside, think I'll head out and sand some metal for my build.

So he lost his free money piggy bank - big deal. Go out and get a job.

"It was unclear what led up to the wrong-way collision, but about 30 minutes prior to the crash, a McLaren slammed through the gates of an elementary school in the Carmel Valley area before speeding off, according to the San Diego Police Department.

The driver then got out of the vehicle, smashed a school building window and then sped off, witnesses reported.

Sanchez confirmed that Heitmann and his McLaren are believed to be involved in the elementary school incident"

People drive down the wrong way of a highway all the time.

The difference is, this is a divided highway with a concrete barrier, and he was going well over the speed limit.

A reasonable person who accidentally goes onto the highway in the wrong direction does not then proceed to speed at 100mph.

Yeah it’s obvious he couldn’t take losing his cash cow and easy money lifestyle. E

This guy fell into the whole "scam kids out of their money by operating a quasi-legal gambling website" scheme that a lot of youtuber's and twitch streamers had been doing. He didn't lose his $500k in skins for no reason. He lost them because he was operating a bullshit website and got in trouble for it. Why would you hold 500k worth of cs GO skins anyways. that's dumber than that guy who took out 6 figure loans to invest in bitcoin when it was about to hit $20k...

Yeah, he weaponized stupid on this.

Seriously, if you think that a bump in the road is so bad that you need to die by going head-on with innocent people while driving your FIVE-HUNDRED-THOUSAND dollar car, you've clearly got issues.

A rationally minded person would think "hey, life just threw me some lemon, but I still have my youth, stacks of money, and some assets, it'll be OK."

he doesn't sound like someone who kept his stacks of money, I'm guess he blew thru it pretty quick. He didn't go out and get a nice car, he got a used super car.

He could almost be commended for the fact he was able to do the skins gambling thing way better than the sketchy chinese and east euro websites. I guess his multiplier was having an online presence and personality, which the soulless chinese sites don't.

I feel for the mother and child not the 18 year old idiot.

Wouldn't that be like blaming the casino cause some idiot gambled with the deed of his house?

Nope, Casino's are licensed and regulated. plus they check I.D.'s.
You might have a point if that person lost $500k at the card tables and then went up to his room and slaughtered kids at a concert with his 2nd amendment.
