I realized it was a 'bling'-type power supply. They do not even have the specifications for the power supply on their web site.
A look at directron's site, which has pictures of the supply, appears to reveal that there is no specification sticker on the sides or top: http://www.directron.com/ps500ac.html
Conclusion?
I wouldn't trust this to power the night light that keeps my Beagle from howling and keeping me up at night.
I echo the suggestion of a Corsair HX520 for the dollar, I have also always had good luck with Enermax. The FMA series is not modular, but they are built rock solid.
Another option is the NeoHE 550W for $50 after rebate. Mine is still running strong with a Core2Duo at 3.4'ish GHz (when my RAM and board aren't on vacation ), and an X1900GT- a hungrier version of the 1950Pro.
