In case you missed the press:
http://www.prweb.com/releases/2007/2/prweb504722.htm
Killer K1 is a more affordable version of the Killer NIC, and is available at select places (such as NewEgg, a [H] supporter) for $149.99 (after rebate).
The difference between Killer NIC and Killer K1:
Killer K1
$179 ($149 for a limited time)
333Mhz NPU
FNA for $30 upgrade.
No Heatsink required due to lower speed.
Killer NIC
$249
400Mhz NPU
FNA
K heatsink
But Killer K1 still bypasses the windows network stack, and it still improves online games with about the same performance (Note: K1 cannot run FNA Firewall or the new FNA Torrent program, unless it has been FNA upgraded ($30 software download).
And if you are wondering, the software download upgrade is Secure (and the file is tied to the specific Killer K1)
As always, I live for your questions!
