What is UW? I'm not nerdy enough to know all these internet acronyms.

    You must be joking lmao.
UW = Ultra wide. I'm sure you remember seeing multiple deals on the 34" Dell in the past couple years? And then seeing iterations with GSync/Freesync from Acer/Asus.

I'm about to pull the trigger for a 1080ti, any suggestions which monitor with gsync I should get along with it? Want IPS, 27 inch and 144hz... Doesn't matter if it is 1080p or 1440p, I'm using DSR anyways.

Got my PG348Q a week ago. Was using DSR on a old FHD 23" monitor before. 3440x1440, IPS, curved and g-sync I am blown into space. I run games on ultra at 100 FPS, dropping to 70 at times in most demanding games is totally smooth and in mostr cases not noticable. 35% more view and desktop real estate is amazing. Highly recommended for GTX 1080 Ti.

Same here, adaptive sync is something I will not pass on going forward. Looking forward to the 4k 144hz displays
