Dumb idea to upgrade from eggs 1080sli classified water cooled ocerxloxked to 2190mhz to a single evga 1080ti ftw3 elite???
This is for 4k.. I've tested and in my games I'm getting over 60fps with a single 1080 in all but witcher 3. That's at 51-53 fps max setting with hw off.
Thoughts are to sell one of the 1080s and give my son the other one and sell his 2 980s off to cover the cost of the 1 1080ti.
Edit.. part of me thinks it's stupid to after testing my games last night.
Bf1 - online 64 player was scoring 85fps outside and 115ish inside with single card in 4k max settings. Really only game currently I care about but 2 cards is overkill on 4k at 140-150fps.
I need to tear the blocks apart to clean them and drain the system anyways so I figured why not.
