1060 3GB Ziptie Fan

For the longest I been experiencing performance issues with framerates dropping into the teens in just about every game I played. Come to find out, the fan on my GPU was barely spinning and idle temps were hovering around 80C and over 90C in games causing the GPU to throttle down.

Not wanting to deal with an RMA, I removed the shroud/fan and zip tied an Arctic Cooling 92mm fan to the heatsink on the card, Guess what, they are now maxing about 70C under load

Yup, the fan profiles on the new cards suck anyway, I think it's why some cards are dying prematurely, since the VRM need the cooling before the GPU kicks in the fans. I pulled the shroud of both my 970 and 1060, and put dual 120mm fan brackets below them. The fans run 100% all the time, and are virtually silent, since you can get great 120mm fans now days. Either one of these work great...
