1000W PSU for 2600k/580 SLi rig

Hey everyone,

I am finishing up a new build and was wondering if the PSU i have (see link below) will be enough for now and future upgrades.

What I have now:
ASUS P8P67 WS Revolution Mobo
SB 2600k (will be OC'd to 5.0GHz)
EVGA GTX580 (OC'd)
Corsair Vengeance 1.5V DDR3 1600
ASUS DVD Drive
2 x Swiftech MCP655 12 VDC Pump
Swiftech APOGEE-XT Waterblock
EK GeForce 580 GTX Waterblock
Black Ice GTX Xtreme 360 Radiator
Black Ice GTX Xtreme 240 Radiator
12 Case fans (mostly 120mm running at 1900rpm)

What I will upgrade to in the next year:
SLi EVGA 3GB GTX 580

My main concern is if this PSU will have enough juice to continue performing once I swap out for the two 3GB GTX580s. Thanks
 
I don't believe there is a big difference in power draw between a 3gb and 1.5gb gtx 580, so your system will be just fine with that PSU.

Yeah my concern wasn't so much between the 3GB and vanilla as it was going SLI
 
It may be enough, but just barely. Each GTX 580 pulls between 250-300 watts peak load, and your 2600k will pull ~100-150 watts. Peripherals are about 50 watts. Worse case scenario would be ~1100 watts peak load, but you would probably see that only under simultaneous Furmark and IBT. So yes, your power supply would probably be fine, but you're pushing the limits of it a bit.

Edit: Woops, thought it read tri-SLI. My bad, 1000 watts is plenty for an SLI system.
