I want to build a PC that is in the $1000 to $1400 range. Right now I do not have anything I can reuse.

So I need your recommendations on a pre-built PC or a custom built one and recommend me the parts for it.

EDIT: I forgot to add that this PC will not be used for gaming a lot but I will still need a good video card that can run games such as Crysis,Bioshock.

- How big is your monitor?
- Do you need an OS, keyboard, and mouse?
- What are you planning to do with this PC exactly?

Please answer all of the questions above and we can help you better?

1) I don't have a monitor at the moment, but I need one that is atleast 1280x1024 resolution.

2) Yes I need an OS, but I don't need a keyboard or mouse.

3) I'll probably use it for some gaming but not a lot, but I will need a good video card than can handle Crysis as I want to get that game when it comes out.Mostly for school, work.

Cut and paste follows. I just bought one, and by trimming a little, you can easily do it in the $1000-1400 range.

I didn't include a case because cases are a personal choice kind of thing. You're the one who's gonna be living with the case so it's up to you to find a case. Just go on newegg.com and look for a case you like. Just make sure it has at least 2 120mm Fans. If you want some case recommendations, here's are my personal faves:

Cooler Master Centurion 534 ATX Case - $35
Antec Nine Hundred ATX Case - $106
Antec P182 ATX Case - $125
Thermaltake Armor VA8003BWS Full Tower ATX Case - $147

I also didn't include a monitor because I really don't know too much about monitors.

LOL!

Forgot about that store. Thx for the heads up!

I'm just making sure... by "custom built," you meant you'd do it yourself, right? and not some boutique builder custom config? Just wanna make sure, since you're in the genhard subforum, but asked for a pre-built.
