This report from Google shows how the company fought bad ads that violated their policies last year.

…some ads are just plain bad—like ads that carry malware, cover up content you’re trying to see, or promote fake goods. Bad ads can ruin your entire online experience, a problem we take very seriously. That’s why we have a strict set of policies for the kinds of ads businesses can run with Google—and why we’ve invested in sophisticated technology and a global team of 1,000+ people dedicated to fighting bad ads.

If you spent one second looking at each of these ads, it’d take you nearly 25 years to see them all!

They must have a slew of trained monkeys watching and blocking those ads, how do i apply for this job?

There's something wrong with the entire PROCESS when you have to kill 780 MILLION ads. They act like that's a great thing and they are protecting consumers but a little bit of common sense would tell you that if they had to crush 780 million ads, how many more did they not find that host malware or mess up viewing of pages?

Something is just entirely broken with the whole online ad system. And Google owns most of it. So it's THEIR system.

This is how I fee on this as well. Where the hell do that many bad ads even come from? They don't have a good system for just blocking malware ads before they even get a chance to get online?
