Over the weekend we reported that Penthouse magazine was going all digital (here) due to internet porn but apparently that isn't the case.

Penthouse, the adult magazine founded by Bob Guccione, said Tuesday it has no plans to shut down print publishing even as plans for the website's overhaul are underway, refuting reports that the magazine's days are numbered.

Okay, it's safe to spooge the pages again.

*SPLAT!*

I'm not even sure how these things stay in business.

Not surprising...just like I said in the other thread, doesn't make sense to go full digital when there is so much free digital content in this realm online. Probably a bit hard to monetize it digital-only.

But how do you make a profit from monetized physical when there is free digital?

If you had the choice between a free legal copy of every movie ever made, or $35 for a printout of the movie frame by frame. Which would you buy?

There needs to be something of value for them to continue to sell physical. That is what is confusing to people, with all the free why do people actually still buy the physical. And who knows, maybe it actually is the articles or something else in there in addition to just the pictures. That is a market that should be done and over with.

Because when the power's out, there's always a candle and magazines. :p

I thought the title said Pentagon, and then wondered why the Pentagon had a porn stash to convert to digital in the first place.
