Leslie Benzies, head of Rockstar North, is no longer with the company. Rockstar has confirmed that that Mr. Benzies will not be returning from his seventeen month long sabbatical. No word at this time on who will be taking his place.

Rockstar has confirmed that Leslie Benzies, studio head of Rockstar North, has departed the company and has in fact not been in the office since September 2014. Benzies joined Rockstar North back in 1999 when it was still DMA Design. He played a huge role in the development of the Grand Theft Auto series and went on sabbatical following the release of Grand Theft Auto V.

I played the hell out of every Lemmings game they put out on the Amiga.

Heck, I'd play the hell out of a new one if it had the same look and feel of the originals.

Loved it when they'd put out the themed levels around the holidays and such.
 
17 month long sabbatical? Yikes, at what point do you just say the guy quit without telling anyone?
 
Or perhaps the, "Your classic DMA views don't align with where we're going, and we're tired of hearing your opinions." kind.
