Intel earned a perfect score of 100 for the second consecutive year on the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation's Corporate Equality Index, a national benchmarking survey and report on LGBT workplace equality. HRC evaluates LGBT-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs, and public engagement with the LGBT community.

HRC's co-founder and Obama friend and fundraiser, Terry Bean, was arrested around this time last year for sexually molesting a 15 year-old boy. Charges were dropped in September of this year when the victim felt too intimidated to testify in a case that would attract worldwide attention.

A "civil compromise" was proposed by both Terry Bean and the boy in which a settlement of $200,000 was to be paid by Bean to his victim in order to avoid a criminal conviction, but the judge rejected that proposal, and the disclosure of its specific details are being kept secret by Terry Bean and his attorneys, though The Oregonian has filed a motion to make them public.

The Lane County Circuit Court judge has granted prosecutors permission to refile judges should the victim change his mind about not wanting to testify.
