The fellas over at LanOC just published a review of the MSI Z170A Gaming M5 motherboard today.

We can’t very well launch a completely new CPU with a new chipset without a motherboard right? Well MSI sent over their new Z170A Gaming M5 motherboard for us to test out Skylake and also to see what MSI has to offer in their new Z170 boards. Today I will be taking a look at their mid ranged gaming motherboard.

They have a lot of mid range boards.
I was forced to buy the Gaming Pro (its between the Gaming M3 and M5) as there isnt a lot of choice under £150 in the UK yet.
(not touching Asus or OcUK <- stuff of nightmares when you get a faulty mobo).
However, it looks very promising and am looking forward to my first MSI board :)

The LanOC benchmarks of the M5 are a bit lacking, raw figures only, fairly worthless with nothing to compare them to.

MSI Motherboards are built to last and this is not the exception.
From what I'm seeing, this motherboard carries the same "attention to detail" I've come to expect from MSI.

In short, the damn thing feels very robust.
