These products start laying the foundation for the 6th Gen Intel® Core™ processor family and Intel® 100 Series chipset coming later this year. Targeted especially at gamers and overclockers, these new products are on display with Intel hosting a modding contest showing off the cool and creative things people love to do with the desktop platform. Enthusiast motherboards, OEM systems and boxed channel processors are available now. Read the blog post for more.

How is the mainstream chip considered enthusiast?
Or did they always call their top of the line i7 (4770k) an enthusiast tier chip?

Any K series chip and above (basically any chip that's unlocked to support overclocking) is considered enthusiast since they all non-enthusiasts don't want to overclock.

but... usually the K series chips are stock clocked higher than usual.
But ok. What are the 6-8 core chips called then?
