How in the hell can this even be a legitimate request? If you are a pornographer and copyright troll, you should be referred to as such. What are you going to say when they ask what the defendant downloaded? Disney movies?

Adult movie studio Malibu Media has asked the Indiana federal court to ban negative terms during an upcoming trial against an alleged BitTorrent pirate. According to the copyright troll, descriptions such as "copyright troll," "pornographer" and "porn purveyor" could influence the jury.

Wouldn't the other side just need to put the word "alleged" in front of the phrase ... both sides will use pejorative phrases in a trial and I find this Newspeak trend of assigning non-controversial titles to things to be getting out of hand ... if he proves his case then it won't matter what the other lawyer calls him ;)

Anythings possible, you just have to find a judge crazy/corrupt enough to go along with it.

So Copyright Exploitationist, or Adult Entertainment Videographer, or Adult Video Procurer?

Same thing but more letters?

Can't the copyright troll just trademark the term "Copyright Troll"? That should solve their problems...

My defense is that the troll troll trolled troll troll. Therefore innocent. Q.E.D.

Copyright Extortionist. That is what you call them now since they use their copyright to extort money from people.

"Excuse me your honor, I would like all sorts of language that could potentially make me lose this case banned from the court!"

"Aside from the controversial terms, Malibu Media also asked the court not to accept references to “copyleft” blogs and to exclude an expert testimony of WiFi hacking and other speculative defenses."

...

F that in the ass... this should be dismissed entirely

Someone should patent the concept of patent and copyright trolling. Then every time someone does it, they're in violation of that patent and can be sued.
