Netflix's ability to continually add new subscribers helped the company raise quarterly revenue by almost twenty three percent. The company's net income didn't fare so well.

Netflix, which produces shows such as "House of Cards" and "Orange is the New Black", said revenue rose to $1.64 billion in the second quarter ended June 30, from $1.34 billion a year earlier. The company's net income fell to $26.3 million, or 6 cents per share, from $71 million, or 16 cents per share.

The important part is they beat the street's projection of 4 cents per share net income, so it was a pretty good quarter.

Seems like Netflix is reinvesting in a lot of new content. So it seems like they're doing fairly well overall.

Netflix's original programming is mostly awesome. I think they need a few more high-intensity shows along the lines of House of Cards.
