Apple’s new TV service is a reality and is in the process of lining up its channel partners. CBS has indicated that the network will ‘probably’ be one of those partners. This is good news for the cord cutters who would like to have access to some network shows without the hassle of a cable subscription.

Apple’s new TV service is a similar take on smaller à la carte cable subscriptions already offered by Dish Network and Sony.“The good news for us, is [the new smaller bundles] will need CBS,”

Yeah, good news. As long as the deals aren't exclusive beyond a small launch window, crediting Apple or not for helping accelerate moving traditional programming to the web is great.

It's all going to depend on the price. A network is worth $5.00/month to stream shows with commercials (unless it's significantly less than the broadcast). For Christ's sake, the commercials are supposed to be what pays for the show (along with commercial free purchases on various media).

Now you want to give it to me with no commercials for 10 bucks a month? If I watch enough CBS shows, that'd be a good deal.
