Can someone explain to me how this is any easier than just ordering food online or over the phone? Am I missing something?

When you search for a nearby restaurant on your phone, you’ll see an option to “Place an order” in the search results. Just tap that, choose the delivery service and you’ll be taken to their website to complete the order.

oh yes, I always look at the map before ordering food online.

It's not any faster if you already know where you want to order from and what you want to order, but it's helpful to have nonetheless. They probably get some revenue from it, too.
