Why did I just assume that this was already a rule at Twitter? So it was okay to post revenge porn up until today?

Twitter said Wednesday it would lock user accounts and hide content reported as being in violation of the new policies. User found to be posting such content for the purpose of harassment will have their accounts suspended, the social network said in an FAQ.

Private company (well, technically public, I guess), but I don't see issue with this. I'm sure some will scream government overreach.

twitter was pretty much hands off, so if people posted revenge porn they didn't really do anything. Kind of like Reddit. Doing nothing is cheaper and easier than policing their site, but they are too much in the public eye now for that to fly. Also just like Reddit.
