Why is it that government agencies just love to release important news on the weekends? Today, the FAA finally released their proposals on the regulations to be imposed on small commercial drones.

The new FAA proposal doesn't apply to hobbyists. The agency already issued a policy for recreational use, with rules calling for flying less than 400 feet high and within sight of the operator, while keeping clear of other aircraft and notifying air-traffic control when flying within 5 miles of an airport.

Weekends=people won't notice.
I would suspect the FAA has only begrudgingly done it or didn't want to set off waves with the airlines.
Or just didn't see the reason for the fuss.
