Facebook announced today that it is adding another feature to your news feed that you will turn off immediately. ;)

The social network announced a new feature Thursday that uses your phone's location services to surface more information about the places you visit. The feature, called Place Tips, draws on posts created from a place's page and from your friends. Now when you visit a location your friends have been before, Facebook will bring up their related posts and photos.

Why does Facebook insist on transforming their social media outlet into a plodding and miserable experience. Didn't they learn anything from Myspace?
