Aside from morbid curiosity, I don't understand why everyone wants this video. I mean, do we really need to see Jobs giving his deposition? What he said is a matter of public record now.

The plaintiff's lawyers in the case were asked by Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers, on Apple's request, to treat the video as "regular testimony," meaning it can be viewed and reported by those attending court but cannot be shown elsewhere. Judge Rogers did not "seal" the evidence, however, leaving open the possibility it may be made available at a later date.

A deposition has the weight of a deposition...which is somewhat less than "testimony" because Jobs cannot be put on the stand and questioned about his statements. I agree that making it public is in no one's interest and serves no purpose.
