If you believe this guy, getting soldiers in schools is simply a matter of marketing....and a little brainwashing. What?

“When we have a new product that has elements that we’re not sure how people will respond to, what do we do as a corporation?” he asked. “We market it, and we market it as much as we can—so that whether people like it or not, we do all the things we can to essentially brainwash people into liking it before it actually comes out.”

While we're at it, we should just declare martial law and become a tin-pot Central American-style military dictatorship/junta.

I look at the U.S. military and government, ironically, as having some of the very same problems as what the Call of Duty franchise has,” Anthony told the crowd Wednesday. “We are both on top of our game. We are both the best in the world at what we do. We both have enemies who are trying to take us down at any possible opportunity. But the difference is, we know how to react to that.

Gotta give the guy credit. That's a pretty epic troll. Bravo.

Holy shit! What did I just read? Call of Crappy Duty.... Director said.. Ahhh!!! We have to worry about our domestic threat, so brainwash for a police state, but at the same time, brainwash people to buy your games so you can *ahem* kill people, 'virtually' (because he makes a ton of money that way)?

Did I read that right? It's been a long damn day...

so that whether people like it or not
Maybe they should rethink this strategy, you get a backlash from enough people (the "or not" crowd) and your product fails.

What we have abundance these days are acts of extremism. Angry, overreactions, aggressive opinions, inflicting pain on innocent people, etc.

So I'll add my extremism thought to this. We need an all out war where we simply beat the crap out of each other. I think that is what we need. We're too comfortable for our own good. A move back to the old days of hard labor just to survive is probably a good thing for us.

The funny thing is this is what the socialists in America love. They have a distrust and suspicion of their neighbors, but they like armed police and soldiers to make them feel protected as they are government appointed, because like their neighbors they don't trust even themselves and believe that the state is all knowing and trustworthy and will solve all of their problems. Yay for big government!

But even the far right is enjoying plenty of fear mongering too, which is all quite asinine when you look at what the real threats to our youth are.

We have soda and candy machines in school with crappy pizza and french fry lunches, with virtually no emphasis on competition or physical activity (because then the fat kids may FEEL bad... and we wouldn't want them to be uncomfortable as a motivator to, well, not be fatasses). So we focus on terrorism, even though the probability of a kid being killed by a terrorist is about on par with a lightning strike, while suffering debilitating disease and or eventually death from obesity is now the ranking cause for preventable death.

But its OK, keep focusing on our police state, but remember to keep schools a gun-free zone and don't allow law abiding teachers with CHLs to carry, because those are just citizens and CHL statistics show they will instantly turn into cold blooded murderers.

If you say something with complete confidence, it must be true.

With all the preppers shows people look a bit cray cray but realistically folks thought patters are all goofy. We life in a world where the American President is a terrorist and every one is ok with that. Not me

Idk about that. I'm pretty sane and I "prep", just for things that are realistic though. Like snow, wind, and Ice. I live up north so I keep a few weeks food and water plus a kerosene heater and 10+ gal of kerosene on hand. Every 4-5 years we lose power for 3-5 days, and I've been out as long as 2 weeks in the past.

Prep for realistic problems, not for an alien invasion.

That tiny Roger Ailes box you're stuck in only gets smaller. Eventually you become Shawn Hannity, with Victoria Jackson as your only audience member.

Look to the lack of term limits in our Congress (especially the Senate) if you wish to know what's responsible for nearly all of our country's major problems. Presidents come and go and are treated by our Congress as what they are: temporary visitors, and speech tours waiting to happen.

You look "cray cray" with this post. You realize that, right?

Reminds me of how Hydra grew inside of SHIELD...
The old "Most people will give up freedom for security" bit...
How many witless parents are going to get behind things like this?

Sounds like he took a page out of Eric Prince would say in a brochure.

For those who can't place the name, Prince is the founder of "Blackwater", oops, I mean "Xe Services", oh wait, I mean "Academi".

Just because you claim something to be true, doesn't make it true at all. I can guarantee you this is not something socialists would want. Socialists would likely want more money going towards improving the education curriculum, better teacher salaries. I mean what do you think a socialist is? Somebody like Bernie Sanders is a socialist. Obama for example, is NOT a socialist, he's one of the most conservative Democrats we've ever had. Even the Affordable Healthcare Act caters heavily to insurance companies, that's not something a socialist would want. Socialists like government involvement for things that are important and help lots of people (food regulation, environmental protection, education, public infrastructure), not retarded things (pointless overseas wars, corporate welfare, the war on drugs), etc. They don't like all things government. Try to get your facts straight.

I should add, instead of "socialist", I think the word you want is "authoritarian" or "fascist." They meet your description, of not trusting their neighbors, celebrating militarization of institutions, and deferring all authority to the state to solve their problems.

I think I'll let the DICTIONARY argue this one for me:

socialism = a way of organizing a society in which major industries are owned and controlled by the government rather than by individual people and companies

authoritarian =
1. of, relating to, or favoring blind submission to authority
2. of, relating to, or favoring a concentration of power in a leader or an elite not constitutionally responsible to the people

It's not the same thing. Socialism does not advocate BLIND submission to authority, nor does it advocate leaders who are not responsible to the people.
