The list of finalists for the 2014 HPCwire Readers’ Choice Awards is out. And projects making use of accelerated computing are all over this list. With nominations in 13 of the categories, GPU-accelerated computing is making a growing impact in almost all areas of high-performance computing (HPC). Nominees range from ground-breaking breast cancer research projects to next-generation machine learning applications.
