Kim Dotcom suffers another defeat, this time it was his bid for a seat in Parliament. It's actually a bit surprising that he had so few backers.

“I take full responsibility,” Dotcom said in a short speech. “The brand Kim Dotcom was poisoned … and I did not see that before the last couple of weeks.” After his speech Dotcom left the building, declining interview requests from local reporters.

OMG, he never tried to get a seat in parliament... he's no citizen of New Zealand, so that was never an option.
 
I don't think it's surprising in the least... I'm actually more surprised the party got as many votes as it did.
