Microsoft is having a bad week for security updates, but the good news is that the company is getting better about fixing the messes they create. I guess practice makes perfect.:D Microsoft has issued a remedy for a slowing Internet Explorer as an out of hand Hotfix.

There are two Internet Explorer updates that, when applied to any iteration of the browser between Internet Explorer 7 and 11 (yikes), could eventually cause the browser to grind to a halt.

Also, as a reminder, if you saw BSODs after this week's update (mostly on Win7 64-bit), or have not yet applied those updates to avoid the problem, the simple fix is to delete the C:\Windows\System32\FNTCACHE.DAT file; it will be auto-regenerated and no longer cause a problem with the update.

Applied update, big difference, IE is much more responsive and load pages faster now.

well that TOTALLY didn't work! all java scripts blocked.no vids, ads, links.

They should just disband the ie team...the recent reddit q/a further enhanced my stance on this.
