Netflix Q2 Profit Surges As It Surpasses 50M Subscribers

Netflix has surpassed the fifty million subscribers mark. I guess that price hike didn't scare anyone away from the service.

Netflix's profit surged again in the second quarter, more than doubling thanks to yet another quarter with more people than expected signing up for the online subscription video service. But costs of Netflix's move into more countries and television programming held back progress just shy of Wall Street's hopes.

Maybe it's also thanks to netflix having some great original programming, House of cards, Orange is the new Black, Lilyhammer, etc.

I just cancelled mine because of the FIOS throttling. (I have PRIME already). I know it is FIOS's fault but the only other option in my area is Comcast and I hate them even more that fios.

when we first moved to our new house we had massive issues with netflix streaming using netflix built into the blue ray player. I got a roku for some different reasons, but was amazed at how much better it streamed netflix

anyways.. netflix is a great service
