Here's one you can send to all your selfie-taking friends out there. :D

According to a study done by the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS), one in three plastic surgeons saw a rise in procedures from patients claiming to be unhappy with how they look on social media. Thirteen percent of doctors surveyed identified increased photo sharing and patients’ dissatisfaction with their looks online as a “rising trend” in the cosmetic surgery industry.

Maybe if they stopped making the duck-face, they'd be happier with how they looked in their selfies :D

These poor, poor people. They just don't get that you can't fix stupid.

how many kids are asking mommy and daddy for money this x-mas..all for surgery!

if it wasnt anorexic models before, now it is selfies....sad society this day in age.

Plastic surgery isn't the answer -- Photoshopping before uploading, now that makes sense.

A security system that is actually inside you. It's called IN-security.

Insecure people spending money in order to keep their self esteem high is nothing new. People wear gold, buy large cars and houses. This is no different.

Those same people will most likely never be happy no matter what.

They will once they have a top hat, monocle, mustache wax, and iWatch.

Maybe for a little while. But then they become unhappy again as soon as they realize that there is somebody that has more than they do.

Then the Plastic Surgery Wars will take place which will lead to people paying to have "plastic surgeons" make them into cyborgs, and we all know how that will end.

Don't think so. You see, boutique genetics is coming within our lifespans.

Cheap implementations might lead to death (covered by TOS) in some cases. That sounds better than cyborgs, don't you think? Cyborgs can't have children... I'd hope.

my sexts are pretty unflattering, thinking of getting one of those wang enlargements

who cares. Fools and their money.
If people didn't keep spending money, we'd all be fucked.

Of course, the smart people pirate photoshop and edit their pics rather than spending thousands on surgery.

Kim Kardashian does both.

Is bad plastic surgery a fad or something. Latest example Courtney Cox.

You paid for that?

Come to Manhattan. So many women have these awful fake lips and now cheek implants. Looks terrible.

Well, if you left the important bits, then yeah, the cyborgs could have children. If you couple that with botique genetics, then you could end up with some pretty bizarre stuff.

Retractable bone claws?

Hah, that would be sweet. X-Men, here we come.

I was more thinking along the lines of RoboCop or Terminator style, except you could swap parts out.

Need a slim figure, just swap out arms and legs. The torso would be slim by default with the ability to have add-ons.

The possibilities are endless.

What's sad is when you have children and the daughters don't look like mom. Say no to self mutilation.

So in your scenario, are the mothers or the daughters getting the plastic surgery?

As for the statement in general, daughters do not always look like their mothers anyway.

Sons don't always look like their fathers either.

If they don't have attributes of either "parent" though, you know something hanky was probably going on.

Who cares.. their money, their bodies.. if they want to use surgery to change how they look, more power to them.

That's something ugly people say to make themselves feel better.

Yeah, that's pretty much true. People who are attractive and know it generally don't worry at all about what they look like unless they have to date them. Then again, there really are more important things to worry about when dating like if someone owns a truck or motorcycle, you run away as fast as you can. If they like sports, run away. If they have guns or a dog, run away. That kinda thing is far bigger of a deal than how someone looks, but if you go for people with college degrees, you can generally eliminate a lot of those really bad factors. Its sort of like sorting piles of peoples resumes where you basically make a pile with degrees and those without and then push the withouts into the trash can.

Why are trucks, motorcycles, guns or dogs a bad thing? That's the strangest thing I've heard today.
