Patch Tuesday Preview: March 2014

A relatively light Patch Tuesday for March with the most important of the critical updates addressing the Zero-Day vulnerability in Internet Explorer. There is also a patch specifically for Windows XP, one of the last to be published since next month will be the last of the XP updates.

It is bulletin 5 that specifically addresses Silverlight. Tyler Reguly, manager of security research at Tripwire suggests the best way to patch Silverlight would be for developers to stop using it.
