If you have already pre-ordered the ASUS Chromebox or were going to wait until it was being shipped, your wait is over. ASUS has made it known that the computer will begin to ship next Friday.

A base system starts out modestly with a 1.4GHz Celeron and 2GB of RAM, although you can splurge for a Core i3 model.

There has never been an Intel based Chromebook without a cooling fan, so the rumours that these were going to be fanless were bullshit to begin with... should be evident especially when you consider that these things will be coming in a smaller package than Chromebooks themselves.
