Apple Expanding its North Carolina Mega Datacenter

Apple will be increasing its footprint in Maiden, NC when it builds a new tactical data center on the same property which houses its present data center. It looks like Apple is taking the ‘always under construction’ approach to its data centers instead of one massive project.

Apple was originally planning to build two 500,000 square foot data centers on the site, but the president of the Catawba County Economic Development Corporation told the newspaper that "it seems" that companies such as Apple are hesitant to build new large-scale data center.
