Overclockers Club had a lot of nice things to say about the Sapphire R9 280X Toxic. If you are GPU shopping, this review will definitely be of interest.

So there you have it, another custom built card from Sapphire that takes what AMD has to offer and bring it kicking and screaming to reach another performance plateau. Considering that the R9 280X Toxic is built upon the aging Tahiti XT core, the performance squeezed from this card allows it to play well above its price point of $349.

Just bought a 7970 - yes this r9 is faster, but I don't think I can justify the price....

I'll hold off until the next version :) Unless someone was looking to buy my 7970? :D

I may grab a 780Ti later if it's Significantly faster than my 7970 - I do like the bundle and kinda want a shield ;)
