A slight inconvenience in iOS 6 which appeared as the New Year was ringing in will correct itself on Monday January 7th according to an Apple spokesman. The glitch causes the ‘Do Not Disturb’ feature to not operate automatically and remain silent for much longer than intended.

"Do Not Disturb scheduling feature will resume normal functionality after January 7, 2013," Apple said. "Before this date, you should manually turn the Do Not Disturb feature on or off."

Translation, we couldn't be assed to bother spending any of our pile of money to actually fix this and choose to just ignore it since our sheep are going to keep on buying.

The so-called "fix" is to NOT use this so-called "feature" to start with. It's a trojan for letting the bad guys know just when to strike.

Back in ancient times, we used to just turn the ringer off....but no! We can't have it setup to be simple enough to NOT require an app that sends messages over the web saying "I'm sleeping" and something else to further drain the battery.
