What is it with stupid criminals getting busted after posting pics on Facebook?

She told police that on the previous day her vehicle had been broken into sometime overnight and both her phones had been taken. But about 3 p.m. she noticed a photo suddenly appeared on her personal Facebook page.

Bilbo was lucky the police even gave a crap about it, for every story like this I've heard a story of someone knowing exactly who stole it because of GPS/whatever and the police say there's nothing they can do.
 
No surprise there. Kids these days love taking pictures of themself. The first thing he probably did was to figure out how to use the camera.
