Amazon Shells Out $1.16 Billion to Buy Seattle Headquarters

Amazon finally got around to cleaning out the spare change from all of the seats in their Seattle campus and will be writing a check for $1.16 Billion with the proceeds to Vulcan Inc, owned by Microsoft’s Paul Allen. Big money sure doesn’t travel far does it?

Amazon expects the deal to close by the end of the year and has already made a $23 million deposit to push it forward.
