This is not your average gas jockey position; it’s a little more out of this world. :D NASA is testing the use of a low orbit filling station to replenish fuel in orbiting satellites, adding new life to aging satellites.

The agency’s Satellite Servicing Capabilities Office has identified 242 end-of-lifers destined to run out of gas in the next five to six years.

Yay for robo-gas attendants!

Just one problem, NASA doesn't have anything that could potentially use this.

They've identified over 200 satellites that could be refilled? Can you simply refill one, or are they in a sealed system?

I think the satellite owners may be interested in funding it, as it's cheaper than launching a replacement.

That or the DOD will pay for it for their own means.
