Wait just a second. Are you trying to tell me that there are governments that don't follow their own rules? How is that possible? I am shocked! :eek:

The Article 29 Working Party — the group which advises individual European privacy authorities on matters of data protection, and the European Data Protection Supervisor — a cross-nation group of data protection officials, both fail to adhere to the E.U.-wide so-called “cookie law”.

They don't care. The only point of this was to find non-compliant websites and extor... fine them for not complying.
 
not a surprise, it's like the do-not-call list they have here... "Oh yeah you can sign up and telemarketers need to stop calling you.... unless of course it is a political message then they can bug the shit out of you"

Luckily you can usually hit 3 or some number if you suffer through the entire message to select them to stop calling.
 
Not sure about the EU but in the US one of the first things Congress does when making laws is exempt themselves from it.
