Drawing on the big numbers generated by the NASCAR crowd, Twitter will make its first foray into the sports arena by partnering with NASCAR starting next month. Full details will be coming prior to the Pocono 400 race on June 10th.

Sports are a natural starting point if Twitter wants to become more of a media company across the board. Pro sports moments dominate the tweets-per-second record book.

They have nothing else to do while the car is turning, either that or during a pit stop jmontoya: bored, wanna go right.


They only just caught up with alternative fuels and play it off like they are the only ones to do this, Corvette Racing have been running greener fuels since '09, and Porsche have an electric hybrid that blows away standard GT cars, and set some new records at Nurburgring.
