Today is Safer Internet Day. You don't really have to be safe today...just safer. I'm not even sure what to do, so I put on gloves before I typed this. :D

You don't hear much about it in the United States, but today is Safer Internet Day across Europe, with some events planned in Asia, Latin America, Australia, and the United States. The annual event started in 2004 as an initiative of the European Commission's Safer Internet Programme. It features school assemblies and major conferences in many countries.

I don't know about the rest of you but... I feel safer knowing that my government is making the net a safer place taking down websites not appropriate for my eyes.
 
So pretty much it's, "you shouldn't be online today" day. That's the only safe internet I know of. Damn things filled with pirates and hackers you know! :D
