Sony, Sony, Sony. It was just a few months ago that you were slamming journalist for reporting that Hirai was replacing Stringer and here it is the rumors were true.

The 51-year-old Hirai, currently executive deputy president, was widely expected to succeed Stringer. The Welsh-born Stringer, one of the few foreigners to lead a major Japanese company, will retain his post as chairman of the board, Sony said in a statement.

To be honest, Hirai > Stringer

Hirai appears to have a better grasp of what Sony should be instead of this fluffy (psychotic) bunny that Stringer is trying so hard to make it be.

The old guy also look like a total slimey asshole. I'm sure if you finally got to know him he might be pleasant, but those first 15 years would have killed off most people...

Not unexpected, but still good to hear it confirmed. Hopefully he will get things back on track for Sony.
