Hulu is launching its first original scripted show, a political comedy, that will air during the upcoming presidential primaries. First Netflix, now Hulu, kinda makes you wonder who else is going to come out with a show.

Aimed squarely at an audience loyal to cutting edge comedy such as "The Office" and "The Colbert Report," Hulu's new show "Battleground" is a look at the inner workings of a Democratic primary campaign for a U.S. Senate seat in Wisconsin. It was created by J.D. Walsh, an actor who worked for John Kerry during a political campaign.

the office... cutting edge comedy?

I guess if they were talking about the uk series, that would make some sense.
 
Meh.. I think this is a good thing.. The more shows being made the more likely there is that there might be something decent on to watch.
 
If they wanted a low budget comedy, they should have just recorded Newt's run in the primaries.
 
Wasn't last year's show, "The Confession", starting Jack Bauer, I mean Kiefer Sutherland, made purely for Hulu? :confused:
